Øivind K. Foss is an attorney in our Technology, media and telecommunications department. Foss has many years of experience as an attorney within dispute resolution, litigation and contracts, specifically within the areas of intellectual property rights (trademarks, patents and copyright), marketing law and privacy law.
Foss has expertise within dispute resolutions for the Courts of Norway and other authorities, as well as alternative dispute resolutions such as arbitration, the Norwegian Industrial Property Office, the Norwegian Board of Appeal for Industrial Property Rights, Committee for the Control of Unfair Competition, Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee (Domain names).
Foss has vast experience with international disputes, and has had several high-profile cases regarding copy products for the Courts of Norway on behalf of foreign owners. Within contracts Foss has worked a lot with research and development, licensing, distribution and IT.
Foss has authored and co-authored articles and books about intellectual property rights, domain names, media rights, arbitration, international private law, e-commerce and employment law.
